Many students panic at the mere mention of 'statistics' but in reality find that analysing experimental data isn't all that bad. Computers can help considerably with statistical analysis and you're no longer expected to rely on a calculator and your brain power alone! Statistical analysis is an important component of the scientific method, and it's only after you've tested your data that you can confidently say that your experiment 'worked' (or not!).
