Check Your Instructions One of the most important things you should do before you start thinking about writing up your research is to check the instructions you've been given. If you haven't been given any, or have misplaced them, do check with your supervisor or lecturer. The main points you need to clarify are: word limit page limit submission date format reference style. As you start planning and writing your work, make sure you regularly back up your computer files.
