Past-Tense Conversions The lambs are checked daily with current weight, leg length and total length measured. Nitrogen content of the leaves is measured by grinding them in acetone and measuring the absorbance as described by Crook (2006). A chlorophyll content meter is used to measure the chlorophyll concentration of leaves whilst they were still attached to the plant. The results of the two methods of nitrogen concentration analyses will be compared. To ensure adequate weed control, the field is sprayed every two weeks with a broadleaf herbicide. |
