Plan Your Sections
With any written task you're given, be it a laboratory report, literature review, scientific paper or final year dissertation, getting an overview of your work can be tricky. You'll find, however, that your work can be split into several manageable sections that suddenly become much easier to write. Thinking about the objectives of your writing or your research question should help with dividing your work into appropriate sections. For example, the research question:
"What is the effect of the chlorophyll precursor Aminolevulinic acid on photosynthesis, as measured using chlorophyll fluorescence" can be broken down into 4 smaller sections:
Once you've read around each of your sections, you should find that these can be further broken down into subsections.
