Third-Person Conversions


Although at first it can be really difficult to write in the third person, with practice it becomes much easier.

Can you convert these sentences from the first to the third person?

Aberdeen Angus calfAs soon as the calves were born, I measured their weight, total length and the length and circumference of their heads.






Fallen Oak leafI measured the effects of Phytophthora ramorum infection on oak trees using a number of methods, including:

  • chlorophyll fluorescence
  • leaf nitrogen concentration
