Try to avoid sounding like a strict school teacher when you present! You can sound more relaxed by talking to the audience, not simply reading your slides back to them. Again, practicing your presentation can help you be more relaxed and natural-sounding. Be aware that your interest in the subject you're presenting will come across in your voice. If you're discussing a subject that you're not particularly interested in, you may speak in a monotone which will bore your audience. However, if the work excites you and genuinely interests you, this will come across in your voice (and your physical gestures and facial expressions), and your audience will be injected with your enthusiasm and interest. |
